Urgency...
My husband and I were having a conversation the other day that got me thinking. We were talking about his 80+ grandma that believes/wants to be here on the secound coming. I then laughed....do you think it is that close? Well... he then quickly replied "not sure...but I know my grandma is one stubborn women. If she puts her mind to it...she will do it." If you know Grandma Marie this is very true (this is where Annalee gets her red hair from.) Then he told me that when you are on a mission you have a sense of urgency....like Christ could come any day and there is still so much to do. I then reflected on the word urgency and I asked him why we were not urgent. It is true..we are not urgent in out testimonies...missionary work...getting our vessels prepared. Do we think that there is no need for urgency? I am not sure if any of you are like me but, I am definitely not urgent. I think Jared and I took from this discussion and his Grandma Marie that we need that urgency. We need to spread the gospel. A lot of work has to be done and a lot of us are sitting in the sun. SO....the first presidency has asked us to spend out spare time aka "date nights" in going to the temple. So if you live close to me..and like me....have a hard time paying for a babysitter...bring them over. I would love to watch kiddos so I can have a greater part in getting the lords do not accomplish your work done. Like our Gospel Doctrine teacher stated last Sunday, " you will not be saved if you ancestors work." so true.
